Friends of PPC:

What is Patient / Physician Cooperatives?

Patient Physician Cooperatives is a free thinking non-profit cooperative operating in the greater Portland area since May 2011. Working with patients & providers alike, we have organized a local, sustainable coop that offers affordable access to healthcare without 3rd party insurance involvement. This allows members to seek out healthcare before their issues become critical and to actually develop relationships with their providers. This is a great alternative to expensive insurance for individuals or small businesses that want to provide healthcare for their employees. Our coop includes over 80 providers ranging from MD's, Naturopaths, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, and more that are offering care and healing to co-op members right now!

The PPC currently seeking to network with health providers who desire more of a relationship with their patients, as well as an alternative to today's insurance/profit system of healthcare.  We are meeting with providers in the fields of General Medicine, Women's Health, Mental Health, Diabetes Management and Education, as well as Naturopathy, Acupuncture and Massage.

This is NOT a plea for volunteer services from providers, but an offer to accept members from our cooperative and receive payment from the cooperative apparatus without third-party interference. It is an exciting and completely possible opportunity for patients and physicians!

The PPC is sponsored by 501(c)(3) charity Tomorrow's Bread Today.

Watch for our ad in the Willamette Week this week!

Willamette Week is publishing a special Alternative Health Issue and it comes out Wednesday!! Hopefully this ad helps spread the word that the PPC is REAL and you don't need insurance to have healthcare. People hear the word "healthcare" and are trained to think of insurance companies and being sick. That is NOT what healthcare should be about. It should be about CARING for your HEALTH. Contact us to find out how YOU can be a part of this great co-op and see a provider right away!
