I am a naturopathic physician with a family practice in NE Portland, Oregon for the past 16 years. I graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine, here in Portland. My naturopathic medicine training began innocently, as a child, with my Mom prescribing bed rest and chicken soup when I was sick. Later, as a research assistant in skin cancer prevention I found myself advocating for my geriatric study participants when they had abnormal lab results that seemed to correlate with adverse drug interactions. These experiences, along with a deep respect and trust in nature’s intelligent and wise design, made for an easy decision to study naturopathic medicine.

When you come to see me I will listen to you and focus on treating the cause of your health issues naturally.  I will perform a pertinent physical exam. I may draw blood or do other tests. Your treatment will always include some sort of dietary and lifestyle recommendations since these things alone have been shown to reduce your risk of dying from ANY cause by 65%. Name a drug that can do that!  I may incorporate other therapies such as hydrotherapy, bowen therapy, homeopathy or herbal medicines.  Always, we will work together to determine the best treatment for you.
